Celebrate Council Bluffs' rich railroad heritage and historic place in history as Mile Zero for the Union Pacific Railroad. In 2026\, Railroad Days returns bigger and better than ever expanding to a two-day event on Saturday\, May 9\, and Sunday\, May 10\, 2026\, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. each day. This year's celebration is extra special as it aligns with National Train Day (May 10) and America's 250th birthday\, offering an unforgettable tribute to what makes Council Bluffs and the metro area so iconic our powerful tie to railroads. Railroad Days will be woven throughout the weeklong Celebrate CB festivities (May 3 9)\, culminating with the Celebrate CB Parade on May 9. The expanded schedule provides additional access to visitors and more chances to engage with train-themed activities and experiences across the city. With the Celebrate CB Parade kicking things off Saturday morning\, Railroad Days gives attendees a perfect way to continue their adventure through town. Whether you're a lifelong train enthusiast or simply looking for a memorable weekend with family and friends\, Railroad Days delivers a one-of-a-kind opportunity to explore interactive exhibits\, hop aboard historic locomotives\, ride iconic trolleys\, and connect with Council Bluffs' unforgettable past.
