Clean Sweep 2026

Description
Clean Sweep is a fun, community-powered volunteer event dedicated to keeping our streets clean and beautiful. Each spring, neighbors from all across Council Bluffs come together to pick up litter, connect with one another, and make a visible difference in the places we call home. Volunteers can easily sign up and choose the streets or sections of the community they’d like to help tidy uIt's a simple way to have a big impact!
Since we began keeping records in 2012, volunteers have collected more than 28,000 pounds of trash. And that’s only part of the story—just imagine how much good has been done since Clean Sweep first started back in 1971! Year after year, this tradition helps brighten our neighborhoods, support local pride, and bring people together for a shared cause.
