Council Bluffs Chamber Hosts Legislative Reception in Des Moines
Council Bluffs Chamber Hosts Legislative Reception in Des Moines
Over 80 attendees. Meaningful conversations at the Capitol.
The Council Bluffs Chamber hosted its annual Legislative Reception this week in Des Moines, bringing together local business leaders, community partners, and elected officials for an evening of meaningful dialogue and connection.
Two buses traveled from Council Bluffs for the event. One carrying members of the current Leadership CB class and another filled with community members, partners, and sponsors demonstrating a strong commitment to civic engagement and advocacy. In total, more than 80 attendees participated in the two-hour reception held at the Iowa Taproom.
Attendees had the opportunity to connect directly with State Representative Brent Siegrist, State Senator Dan Dawson, and State Representative Josh Turek, engaging in conversations about legislative priorities and issues impacting the Council Bluffs business community and region.
With unseasonably beautiful weather allowing patio doors to remain open throughout the evening, the reception provided a welcoming and collaborative environment for attendees to build relationships and exchange ideas.
The Legislative Reception supports the Chamber’s mission by strengthening connections between community leaders and policymakers, increasing awareness of legislative issues, and creating opportunities for advocacy that contribute to regional growth and shared impact.
The Chamber extends its appreciation to event sponsors Google, Cox Business, Black Hills Energy, Snyder & Associates, and HGM Associates for their support.
Community members are encouraged to continue participating in upcoming Legislative Coffees throughout the session:
February 28, March 14, March 28, & April 11 at Wilson Middle School from 9-10:30 AM.
Through events like these, the Chamber remains committed to connecting its members with leadership and fostering dialogue that supports the continued growth of Council Bluffs and the region.
