CB Chamber Mid-Year Meeting 2026

Mid-Year Meeting Celebrates Leadership, Community Impact, and the Future of Council Bluffs

The Council Bluffs Area Chamber of Commerce gathered members, community leaders, and partners for its Mid-Year Meeting on June 24, highlighting the progress made during the first half of the year and celebrating the people and organizations helping move our community forward.

A highlight of the event was the graduation of Leadership Council Bluffs Class 38. Over the past year, participants explored key industries, community assets, and local challenges while building relationships and strengthening their leadership skills. The program continues to develop informed, engaged leaders who are committed to making a positive impact in Council Bluffs and throughout the region.

The Chamber also recognized three local nonprofit organizations with Leadership Council Bluffs Class 38 Community Project grants. Through collaborative funding provided by the Community Foundation for Western Iowa, the Council Bluffs Area Chamber of Commerce, and Omaha Community Foundation, $1,000 grants were awarded to Wings of Hope Cancer Support Center, MICAH House, and Heartland Family Service.

These grants reflect the spirit of Leadership Council Bluffs and the program's commitment to community engagement, collaboration, and service.

Attendees also had the opportunity to hear from keynote speaker Allie Hopkins of Anthropic. Drawing on more than two decades of experience in technical infrastructure and leadership roles at Anthropic and Google, Hopkins shared lessons on leadership, growth, and building resilient teams through her keynote presentation, Keeping Your Roots, Growing Your Future: The Power of Distributed Leadership.

The Chamber also announced Leadership Council Bluffs Class 39, welcoming 25 participants representing business, education, healthcare, government, nonprofit organizations, and community institutions from across the region. The incoming class will begin its leadership journey later this year, continuing the program's tradition of developing leaders who are invested in the future of Council Bluffs.

Thank you to everyone who attended the Mid-Year Meeting, our sponsors and partners who support Leadership Council Bluffs, and the many individuals who continue to invest their time, talent, and energy into making our community stronger.

We look forward to seeing the impact of Class 39 and continuing to celebrate the leadership that helps Council Bluffs thrive.
