Food Rescue Partnerships Manager
The Food Rescue Partnerships Manager is responsible for identifying, cultivating, recruiting, and
sustaining relationships with food businesses that can regularly donate excess perishable food. This role
educates businesses on the social, environmental, and financial benefits of food rescue and onboards
them to a seamless, compliant donation process that aligns with Saving Grace’s just-in-time rescue
model.
This position will work from both the main Omaha office location and remotely.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Donor Prospecting & Outreach
• Identify prospective food donors, including grocery, food service, manufacturers, distributors, healthcare, hospitality, and corporate cafeterias
• Conduct cold and warm outreach via phone, email, and in-person visits
• Build targeted donor pipelines by geography, volume capacity, and food type
Relationship Management
• Serve as primary relationship lead for assigned donor accounts
• Maintain regular check-ins to ensure donor satisfaction and consistency
• Troubleshoot donation challenges and identify opportunities for increased volume or frequency
Education & Value Proposition
• Educate businesses on:
o Tax benefits and liability protections (Good Samaritan Act)
o Waste reduction and sustainability goals
o Community impact and hunger relief outcomes
• Position Saving Grace as a trusted, low-burden, same-day rescue partner
Onboarding & Activation
• Guide donors through onboarding:
o Food Donor document
o Food safety standards
o Introduction to Field leadership
• Coordinate closely with the Operations team to activate new donors smoothly
Data, KPIs & Reporting
• Track outreach, conversion rates, donor activation timelines, and donation volume
• Monitor donor retention and re-engagement of lapsed donors
• Support organizational goals for:
o New donor acquisition
o Geographic expansion
o Volume growth and sustainability
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work with:
o Field team to understand operations expectations
o Leadership on strategic growth priorities
Education/Experience/Qualifications
• A minimum of 2–5 years in sales, business development, or partnerships
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills
• Comfortable with outreach, follow-up, and closing commitments
• Ability to think strategically while executing tactically
• Mission-driven with a passion for hunger relief and food waste reduction
• Comfortable working independently in the field
Preferred Experience
• Experience working with food businesses or supply chains
• Familiarity with food safety, logistics, or sustainability initiatives
• CRM or donor management system experience
• Nonprofit or social impact sector experience
Benefits and Compensation
Salary Range: $55,000-$60,000, depending on experience. Work Week: 40 hours
